We are a sisterhood. A strong, frostbitten sisterhood.

Wildheart is a print magazine that strives to be as clever and distinct as the Alaskan women that we feature, through introspective writing, photography, and art.

Have a story to share?

We believe

That what we do should have meaning.

That a day spent loving others is a day well spent.

That we are in a unique position to live great stories.

That nurturing our wild hearts everyday is mandatory.

That living in Alaska is an adventure and an honor.

Who are we?

Editor in Chief

Jordan Bird

Jordan has been living and working in Anchorage for most of her years as a first-generation Alaskan. After a brief stint in the Midwest and some journeys around the world, she trekked her traveler’s heart back and has continued to make Alaska her home with her husband, two dogs, and a handful of chickens. While operating under equal parts logic and creativity, she is particularly drawn to business and art, and how the two can interact. She is an always-aspiring artist, writer, and sourdough bread baker, and currently works as an art director and graphic designer.

Managing Editor

Fernanda Conrad

Fernanda was born in Ecuador and currently resides in Alaska. Living in such different climates and cultures instilled in her a deep love for mountains, the ocean, and people. She often translates that love into the written word, usually accompanied by a cup of coffee. Fernanda is a designer by trade, she can often be found running on an Anchorage trail, reading in a cafe, or cooking for her friends. She lives with her husband, son, and a really cool cat.
